Programs and Events

Cambridge Library is home to interesting social and learning groups, plus regular programs for visitors of all ages.

For our youngest library visitors Rhyme Time and Story Time sessions during school terms are a hit, plus we run activities for school aged children over the holiday periods. Or, why not join us for Lego Club, held every second Monday.

Our adult members can join like-minded others to enjoy activities from Rummy-O to watercolour painting, origami and more. Join a group at the library to meet new people and pick up new skills!

Bookings are generally not required but you may wish to contact the Library to confirm days. For more information call us on 9383 8999 or email library@cambridge.wa.gov.au

Kids activities

Introduce your little ones to the world of reading by bringing them along to our library activities for kids.

School Holiday Activities

The Library holds a variety of activities during the school holidays. Programs are released 2-3 weeks before school holidays start and can be found in the Library, on our Facebook page and on our website.

Baby Rhyme Time

Baby Rhyme Time is a fun and educational way to introduce your little ones to the world of reading. These free sessions are suitable for children aged 4 months to 2 years old.

Help develop your child's early literacy skills while you bounce and sing along to some classic rhymes and stories, in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Baby rhyme time is also a great opportunity to meet other parents of young children.

Baby Rhyme Time sessions are held every Friday morning at 9.30am, during school terms.

Bookings not required.

Story Time

For children aged 2-5 years, Story Time fosters a love of reading, encourages socialisation with other children and improves literacy skills through the use of rhymes, songs and stories. Fine motor skills are also improved through craft activities.

A parent or guardian must accompany the child throughout the session.

Story Time sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 10.30am, during school terms.

Bookings not required.

Lego Club

Join us for Lego Club! All Lego is provided by the Library. Suitable for ages 5 - 12 years old. Children aged 6 years and under will require an adult helper.

Lego Club sessions are held every second Monday at 4.00pm.

No bookings are required and you're welcome to attend any session. However, due to space and Lego resource requirements, attendance numbers are limited to the first 20 children who arrive for each session
