Can't make it in to the Library? No problem. eMembership at Cambridge Library gives you access to our full range of online resources including eBooks, eAudiobooks, video streaming services and much more.

Upgrade to a full membership at any time to borrow and reserve physical items from the Library. Just follow the steps below! 

Full membership

Full membership at Cambridge Library gives you access to thousands of items, plus free use of library computers, online resources and the internet.

  1. Visit the library
  2. Provide photo ID
  3. Show proof of your current residential address
  4. Agree to comply with our Library Services Policy(PDF, 182KB)
  5. Sign the Cambridge Library membership register

Note: Applicants aged under 18 years need a parent/guardian to provide proof of their current residential address and sign the membership register on their behalf.

What you can borrow

Library members can borrow up to 12 items at a time, for up to four weeks. 

Returning items

All items must be returned on or before the due date.  

Returning items after hours

If you can't make it to the library to return items during opening hours, you can use the external returns chute located outside the library's main entrance. 

Renewing a loan

Items can be renewed up to two times for an extra four weeks, provided the item has not been requested by someone else or borrowed from another library.
