Coronavirus and Library services FAQs

In response to the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19, Cambridge Library is closed until further notice.

How will Library services be affected?

Although the Library will be closed, you can still contact us on 9383 8999 or library@cambridge.wa.gov.au with any queries, Monday to Friday from 9 to 5. We will endeavour to assist you as best we can.

What about my loans?

We have temporarily increased the number of renewals available. Check your items and due dates online here or contact the Library on 9383 8999 or at library@cambridge.wa.gov.au. Please get in touch if you are having difficulty signing in online as we may be able to help you.

Overdue fines will be suspended effective from 14th March 2020 until further notice.

The Library's external after hours chute will be open 24/7 for those who wish to return items.

Will I still be able to collect my reservations?

Yes, you can collect your reservations between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. We are currently quarantining returned items for 7 days to prevent spread of the virus via Library materials. As such there will be a delay in the availability of your reserved items. We ask that you wait until receiving your email notification or letter from us before coming to collect your item.

How can I access Library services from home?

We have a wide range of online entertainment and resources including films, eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines available for free for Library members. You can explore these here. Not a member? Sign up for an eMembership here to access our digital library.

We thank you for your patience and consideration during this challenging time.

Let's work together to stop the spread.
