Joining

Town of Cambridge residents are encouraged to join the library and to take advantage of library services.  Aside from books, we have music CDs, DVDs and many regular activities occur in the library, which your free membership allows you to access.

You will need to register at the library with identification containing your current address and signature.  If you are under 18, you will need a signature from a parent or guardian.

Alternatively, if you are over 18, you can register by clicking on the Membership Application Form.  Please complete the form and bring it in to the library with identification (e.g. driver's license, pension card etc).  If you do not have a driver's license, we will accept anything that has your current address on it (e.g. electricity account, telephone bill, rental agreement).

  • Both residents of the Town of Cambridge and those who do not live in the Town are eligible to join.
  • Visit the library with the above identification documents and request to join.
  • You will be required to sign the library membership agreement.

Current borrowers can also use the Membership Application Form to change their address.  We do require you to bring in current identification stating your new address (e.g. electricity account, telephone bill, rental agreement) once completed.

Cost

  • There is no charge to join the library.

If your card is lost or stolen, please notify the library immediately to avoid liability for unauthorised use.

  • A replacement fee will be charged for a lost or damaged membership card.

Please do not hesitate to contact the library should you have any difficulties with the joining requirements
