Welcome to Cambridge Library Online
The ‘Thanks Dad! PhotoVoice’ Competition is open for 2008.
The competition, coordinated by the West Coast Early Years Group, wants to highlight the positive influence of fathers and male role models including stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles and sports coaches in the community. Last year the competition was been enormously successful with many proud parents entering photos of the male role models in their children’s lives. All you have to do to enter is take a photo that captures a special bonding moment between a child and father or other male role model (including grandfathers, brothers, uncles, sports coaches etc). Photos, along with a short description, will be judged on the expression on the positive time between the child and male role model, not on technical quality.
Anyone can enter a photo, whether you are a parent, grandparent, coach or child. Entry in the competition is free and can be submitted at Cambridge, Vincent, Subiaco or Cottesloe Libraries. The ‘Thanks Dad’ PhotoVoice Competition closes on Saturday 16th of August. A public exhibition will be held at Challenge Stadium from 25th of August to 8th of September. Entry forms are available from all Western Suburbs libraries and Child Health Centres or via download from www.thanksdadphotos.org and clicking on Western Suburbs, Perth link.
Happy Snapping!

New After Hours Book Chute
Can't get to the library during opening hours to return your items? No need to worry, the Cambridge Library's new after hours item return chute has now been installed and is up and running.
The chute, located on the walkway from the carpark, operates when the library is closed. Just scan the barcode of your library card or the library barcode (not the retail barcode on the back of the item) of an item you wish to return and the hatch will open allowing you to slide your items through.
Until the end of June the chute will operate during Library opening hours so you can try it out while staff are available to answer any questions that may arise.
